Tye Dye for

I have been getting a bit crafty lately. I seem to be obsessed with all things tye dye! Iv never done it before but I thought it was something easy and fun i could have a go at.Its a great way to brighten up old shirts, especially old white ones that are starting to go a bit grey its like a new lease of life instantly and can really brighten up your wardrobe!

Its pretty cheap to get everything that you need. I bought most of what i need form amazon and Ebay, one packet of dylon hand dye will last for a really long tie as you only really need a bout a table spoon per shirt depending on the technique you want to use. I think Ive made around 6 shirts and i still have a
lot of dye left to use!

As i said i started out with some old shirts just to try it out as i didnt really know what to expect but they came out so so well!!! I went out and bought a few cheap tops and bodysuits from Primark to test out some other designs and they also worked really well, the bodysuits in particular they are so bright i love them!

The first body suit i dyed i literally just threw dye at it! i got it super cheap at primark so it cost pretty much nothing, it looked really boring and id never wear it as it was, this is a great way to make something really cheap look awesome in 5 minutes!

"Colour Splash" bodysuit
I made sure that i didn't leave the dyes on for too long and only used a small amount each time because i really wanted a more pastel effect on the BS rather than it being super bright. I think the pastel ones really suit my super pale skin tone plus they go really nicely with denim!

"Swirl" bodysuit

This next bodysuit was a little more complicated, but still super easy! I created a swirl in the bodysuit and rolled it up so it looked almost like a cinnamon bun! then spooned different coloured dyes on to each side and the outside of the swirl! left it for a few hours, rinsed and popped it in the washing machine voila!

This was the first shirt that i re vamped, it was a present from a good friend of mine and I'd really worn it quite alot so it was started to go that really annoying grey colour, I didn't want to get rid of it as it's one of my favourite shirts so I gave it a new lease of life! again I wasn't precious with it I put some dye in a bottle with a sports cap and just squirted it all over the Tshirt. For the 1st thing that id ever tyedyed im pretty happy with it! now it looks great and will get many more wears!

This next one i tied up with rubber bands to create an interesting more "traditional" tye dye effect! also really easy, it took a few minutes to do!
